Now Get Booked For Photography Jobs On Snapm
Today is another big day at Snapm as we've launched our new booking system. This means that our photographers can now get booked for photography jobs and paid for doing what they love. As with all things we release, right now the booking system is relatively simple, but we plan to expand it every day to support more and more features that our users request. Right now it works as follows:
- Potential customers browse through photographers on Snapm and message the ones that they are interested in hiring to find out about their interest and availability in the job.
- If both parties agree, then the customer can "book the photographer" for a job. The customer enters their credit card information at this point.
- The photographer can accept or reject the offer. If they accept, then Snapm immediately charges the customer's credit card the full amount for the job.
- After the job is completed, Snapm pays the photographer by check or paypal (their choice) within a week of the completion of the job.
Right now the cost for a job is based solely on the length of the job and the hourly rate of the photographer. In the near future we plan to release "special offers" in which photographers can charge arbitrary prices for negotiated jobs, and "counter offers" in which photographers can counter the offers that customers make.
